Since its inception in December 2019, the EDI-AR portfolio builds on and, where applicable, enhances the work of other and/or pre-existing EDI-AR entities across Memorial.

As the inaugural vice-provost in this portfolio, Dr. Delores V. Mullings is working to build relationships with Memorial’s senior administrative, academic and student leaders. In addition, Dr. Mullings is developing relationships with the broader Memorial communities across all of its campuses.

Through the careful and intentional implementation of the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism Strategic Plan (in development), Memorial can help set the standard for how a university campus looks and feels. The goal is that everyone who comes into contact with any part of the university feels valued, welcomed and honoured, and sees a reflection of who they are embedded in all areas of Memorial.
