If usage of the instrument is infrequent, the Laboratory Coordinator will run the samples (though students are encouraged to view the analysis at least once for a better understanding of the instrumentation).
If students will be consistently using ICP-OES for their research, training can be provided (e.g. weekly analysis).

Sample Preparation
If possible, samples should be made up in 2% nitric acid before submitting them to the Lab Coordinator.
