The Leslie Harris Centre of Regional Policy and Development will present initial findings from a major provincial research project. The project, Rural-Urban Interaction in Newfoundland and Labrador: Understanding and Managing Functional Regions, considers regional labour market development, governance and the need for planning to be based on “functional” rather than simply “administrative” regions. The session is hosted by the Waterford Valley Rotary Club, and will take place on Wednesday, March 16, at Smitty’s Restaurant, 26 Gibson Drive, Mount Pearl, from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
