SUBJECT: Grenfell: Teacher Education in Canada: The issues and the challenges

          Teachers are key resources in society. We need great teachers to motivate and to educate our children and young adults, and to prepare them to face an ever-more complex world. But how well are we preparing our teachers? Are we doing a good enough job in preparing them for the challenges of the classroom and to meet the needs of society?

- Dr. Robert Crocker, Professor Emeritus, Faculty of Education, Memorial University and President of Atlantic Evaluation and Research Consultants;
- Dr. Clare Kosnik, Associate Professor and Head of the Centre for Teacher Education and Development, OISE, University of Toronto;
- Dr. Bruce Sheppard, Professor, Faculty of Education, Memorial University of Newfoundland.
