Join us and make a donation this GivingTuesday, as the Memorial community comes together once again to support our students! No matter the size of your donation or where you direct it, your support helps students reach their full potential during their time at Memorial!
Mark your calendars to double your impact
All donations to any area at Memorial will be matched!
100% of your donation will go to the area you choose to support, while the matching donations, up to a combined total of $70,000, will go to the Thriving Student fund! Your donation will have twice the impact for students!
Celebrate Memorial’s 100th anniversary
As a special way to mark our Centennial, new monthly or bi-weekly payroll donors will receive a $100 gift match that will be added to the fund you choose to support.
New recurring gifts must be monthly or bi-weekly through payroll and a minimum amount of $10 per month or $5 per pay; increases of existing gifts or second recurring gifts qualify as well; the recurring gift must have no end date, although donors can cancel anytime. In case the number of new recurring gifts exceeds the available matching fund of $10,000, the gift match will be prorated.

What is GivingTuesday?
GivingTuesday is a global movement that inspires generosity and kindness. Following on the heels of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it kicks off the giving season and encourages people to do good in their communities.
Memorial has participated in GivingTuesday since 2015. In that time, alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends have raised over $811,000, showing that, together, we make a real difference for our students!
What is the Thriving Student Fund ?
The Thriving Student Fund was created as a priority fund for GivingTuesday to provide funding as needed, where needed for students. Whether they need short-term emergency support, or by empowering their success through scholarships and bursaries, this fund helps students to achieve academic and personal success during their time at Memorial University.
All donations to this fund support undergraduate and graduate students across all campuses, increasing access to education and providing financial support so that students can focus on their studies.
As part of Memorial's Centennial celebration, the Thriving Student Fund will also support the Memorial 100 Scholarships this year. 100 of these scholarships of $1,000 each will recognize undergraduate and graduate students across all programs and campuses.
