I am from Lagos, Nigeria—a vibrant city that shaped my passion for healthcare and community impact.

What do you enjoy doing for fun?

In my free time, I enjoy connecting with family and friends. I also unwind by watching soap operas—they are a great escape and often reflect the complexity of human relationships, which I find fascinating.

Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree?

My clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical sales journey gave me a unique, well-rounded view of healthcare. I saw firsthand how crucial business strategy and leadership are to delivering sustainable healthcare solutions. That insight led me to pursue an Master of Business Administration. I wanted to move beyond clinical practice and become someone who could drive systemic change by combining business acumen with healthcare expertise.

Why did you choose Memorial University for your graduate studies?

Memorial University stood out to me for its comprehensive MBA curriculum and its reputation for academic excellence and inclusivity. I was drawn to the welcoming nature of Newfoundlanders and the serene, inspiring atmosphere of St. John’s. It felt like a place where I could thrive both academically and personally.

It has been transformational. The program is intellectually stimulating and deeply engaging. Coming from Nigeria, I was impressed by how participatory and discussion-driven the classes are. My time at Memorial is shaping me into the leader I aspire to be—strategic, thoughtful, and ready to make a meaningful impact in healthcare.

What industry or career path are you interested in pursuing after graduation?

With my background in pharmacy, I am passionate about building a career on the business side of healthcare, particularly in areas like healthcare financing and policy development. I want to make healthcare systems more accessible, sustainable, and efficient.

What advice would you give to current or future graduate students?

Stay open-minded and embrace the diversity of ideas and perspectives around you. Build strong relationships with your classmates—they're not just peers, but potential collaborators and lifelong connections. And above all, always put your best foot forward; every effort you make will add up. Finally, when in doubt always remember that your course instructors are readily accessible.
