Amenities & Transportation


Each room has its own personal bathroom facility and comes complete with a bed, furniture and a refrigerator. Modern communal kitchens and common areas are available including stoves, ovens, and microwaves. Laundry facilities are also located on-site, conveniently operated using your university campus card.

While many amenities are provided, you'll need to bring your own personal items, linens, towels, eating utensils and cookware. Here is a full list of what you will want to bring with you.

Parking & Transportation

Parking: A limited number of semesterized parking permits may be made available to graduate student residents of the building. Each permit has a purchase price of $100.00 per semester and must be requested by email. Resident permits are very limited and are never guaranteed.

Pay-per-use parking will also be available at a rate of $1.50 per hour. Parking at the building is subject to change at any time.

Shuttle Services:  A university-run shuttle provides limited service between Memorial's St. John's campus, the Ocean Sciences Centre, the Marine Institute and Signal Hill Campus. Visit the shuttle webpage to view the daily schedule and terms of use. 

Bus Services: Metrobus stops are located nearby and provide access to multiple lines connecting different parts of the city. You can find the online schedule here.

Biking & Walking:  There are bike racks located outside the building. Several city buses operate in the vicinity, about a ten-minute walk from the facility. Please note that the building is located on a hill, and walking conditions can be challenging in winter weather.
