Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging

Through Dr. Gerry Mugford, Newfoundland and Labrador lead investigator, Memorial University partners in the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA). This national, long-term study of over 50,000 people is funded by CIHR and works in collaboration with Statistics Canada.

The St. John’s Data Collection Site, based at the Janeway Hostel, is one of 11 across Canada, carrying out interviews, cognitive and physical assessments, and collecting biological specimens from participants from this province.
