Poet, essayist, literary critic and St. Mary's University professor Brian
Bartlett is reading at the Holyrood Public Library on Monday, Nov. 3, at
7.30 pm, and on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the Petro-Canada Hall in the School of Music at Memorial University at 7.30 pm. Free parking in Lot 15.
Both readings are sponsored by the Canada Council for the Arts.
Brian Bartlett teaches English and creative writing at St. Mary's University in Halifax. He is the author of six books of poetry, the most recent of which is
The Watchmaker's Table (published by Goose Lane, 2008). Wanting the Day: Selected Poems won the 2004 Atlantic Poetry Prize and was published internationally. Other awards include the Petra Kenney Poetry Award, and two Malahat Review Long Poem Prizes. Mr.  Bartlett has edited a collection of essays on the poetry of Don McKay as well as a selection of the poems of Don Domanski. He is currently editing a selection of the work of poet and playwright James Reaney.
