ACEA 2025
As Memorial University celebrates its centennial anniversary, the Department of Economics is proud to host the Atlantic Canada Economics Association (ACEA) 2025 Annual Meeting.
Researchers, scholars, practitioners, and policymakers are invited to submit their papers for the ACEA Annual Meeting. This year's meeting has a theme of Human Capital, Labour Productivity and Regional Economy. Papers that are related to the conference theme are encouraged, including but not limited to human capital formation, skill acquisition, occupational choice, labour productivity, regional development, economic growth and regional policy and planning. Papers from any field within economic science will be considered.
Timeline
The submission deadline has been extended to August 31st, 2025.
Early bird registration deadline is September 15th, 2025.

Conference registration fees include a $50 ACEA membership fee. Further details on how to register will be provided with the notification of acceptance.

Submission Guidelines

Papers or extended abstracts will be considered, and must be original research. Please include the names and affiliations of all authors.
Student Travel Grant
Travel grants will be available for students. If you are a student, please state that you would like to be considered for a travel grant in your submission.

About ACEA
The ACEA is an organization devoted to the advancement of economic knowledge and its application for the improvement of economic prospects in Atlantic Canada. Founded in 1971, it brings together Atlantic Canadian economists from academic institutions, government departments and agencies, and private sector organizations to facilitate collaboration and aid in the dissemination of research findings.
This conference represents the annual meeting of the ACEA, offering a forum to promote the improvement and application of economics within the region.
