Students from O’Donel High School were hosted by the Department of Biochemistry on Thursday May 18th where they used newly learned skills in protein determination, DNA extraction and DNA interpretation to solve a couple of CSI whodoneit's put together by the Biochemistry  departments student lab staff. In the morning session they conducted biuret protein assays to compare the composition of two species of fish and in the afternoon session completed a DNA extraction and then learned how to compare the unknown sample to suspect samples  and identify the guilty suspect.
