Special Topics in Biochemistry:
Advanced Topics in Lipid and Lipoprotein Metabolism
Spring 2012
The class is scheduled for Mondays from 2:00-5:00pm on May 21 & 28, June 4-25, & July 9-23 (room TBA); the final week of the class is scheduled for July 30-August 2, inclusive, from 2:00-5:00pm. This is a new course that will be taught by Drs. Brown and Cheema, who will cover topics associated with lipoprotein metabolism in health and disease, plus maternal nutrition and lipid abnormalities in offspring. Student evaluations will be through written assignments and oral presentations.
Prerequisites:
BIOC 4230: Biochemistry 3106 or Pharmacy 3111
BIOC 6000: Completion of all Hon. B.Sc. requirements for Biochemistry, Biology, or Nutrition; or enrollment in the M.Sc. or Ph.D. program in Biochemistry or Biology
