Exam results for the Fall Semester were available on December 19^th.   By that date almost every student was registered for winter and anxiously waiting results where prerequisites applied.  A small number of students need deferred or supplementary exams and they will be written the first week of classes in January.

Drs. Sean and Marg Brosnan welcomed a new granddaughter, Abigail, in December.  This is the fourth grandchild for the family.

 The Campus Food Bank had a Christmas hamper drive and several members of the department chipped in to donate the food and money needed to fill one hamper.

 The department closed for the Christmas/New Year’s break on December 24^th, with all expected to return to work on January 3^rd, refreshed for another full year of activity.  Prior to the closure we celebrated with events such as our annual Carol Sing coffee break, our Secret Santa gift exchange, and a pub evening at Bitters, complete with trivia organized by Marie Codner.  The top place team proudly sported their winners’ crowns in this.
