Cost of living

Newfoundland and Labrador offers graduate students a high quality of life due to its relatively low cost of living compared to other parts of Canada.

A single full-time Newfoundland master’s student should anticipate to pay approximately $25,029.17 a year* for university fees, books, accommodations, and meals.

A single full-time other Canadian master’s student should anticipate to pay approximately $25,887.17 a year.*

A single full-time international master’s student should anticipate to pay approximately $27,003.17 a year.*

For graduate diploma and PhD students, simply replace graduate tuition with the appropriate per-semester program fee based on your immigration status multiplied by 3 (3 semesters in an academic year).

The estimates below are in Canadian dollars and give you a sense of how much it may cost to study and live at Memorial. All figures are approximate, and exact figures can vary significantly depending on your lifestyle and needs, as well as other circumstances. Due to relocation costs, your first few semesters as a graduate student may be more expensive than normal.
