Orientation Assistant Coordinators (OACs)
These volunteers commit to helping plan and implement orientation over the summer. POAs volunteer to design and conduct presentations for new students during the two days of orientation. Students who volunteer for this group should be available for a training weekend in June, weekly meetings over the summer, and be willing to commit to orientation programming during the first weeks of September

Group Leaders
Approximately 130 Group Leaders are needed each year to act as front-runners for this two-day event. With a group of 20-25 new students, you participate in every event with your group members. You are also responsible for getting your group to each event on time, motivating group spirit, and giving a campus tour.

Event Leaders
These volunteers support the Orientation staff by working behind the scenes to help facilitate the events. So that each event will proceed as planned. Event Leaders will be needed to support the Orientation Staff in a number of ways

Requirements

All Orientation Volunteers are required to be able to commit to the two full days of Orientation as well as any applicable training sessions. POAs are selected by means of an interview process in May. All Orientation Volunteers who have not volunteered for Orientation before are required to have an interview upon application.
