Application Process

Application Process (January 30 – March 15, 2024)

The application process for students to apply for this program requires them to complete the application form and submit four (4) supporting documents: Statement of Interest, Letter of support, Resume, Essay.  Interested individuals may be nominated by an individual or may choose to self-nominate.

Please note you will be asked for the following information:

  • Personal Information including Name, Student #, Cell Phone #, MUN E-mail Address in the application form
  • Attestation that you meet the eligibility criteria established as part of the Leadership Program in the application form
  • Letter of support from Nominating Faculty Member or MUN Community Member (PDF)
  • Updated Resume (PDF)
  • Statement of Interest/Essay (PDF File) answering the questions outlined in the selection rubric.

The deadline to apply is Friday, March 15, 2024 @ 5:00 p.m. Entry into the program is done on a competitive basis. Applications from all who meet the program criteria are encouraged to apply. All applicants will be notified regarding the status of their application to participate following the conclusion of the program admission process. 

Additional Information on Application Requirements:

Letter of Support (worth 10% of Selection Criteria):

  • For applicants who have been nominated by a MUN faculty member, please attach a letter of support from the faculty member (PDF).
  • For applicants who have self-nominated, please attached a letter of support from a leader or member of the Memorial University community (PDF).

Resume (5% of Selection Criteria)

  • Please attach an updated copy of your resume (PDF).
  • Statement should ensure you address the various questions outlined below (PDF).
  • Submissions that go over the maximum word count will not be reviewed.
