Children and Youth Recreation
- Allied Youth
International Organization for young people in grades seven through twelve. It is an opportunity for members to get together and have fun while developing leadership and interpersonal skills, self-awareness, and community involvement.
- Boys and Girls Club
Provides guidance to youth ages 6-10 using recreation as a tool. It is a place where youth, through fun and activities, acquire skills, attitudes, and values that will enhance their potential as children and adults.
- Brighter Futures
A non-profit organization that provides programs offered to low income families.
- Brother T.I. Murphy Centre
Provides an alternate education program centered towards younger people. The Centre's program runs through the school year.
- Buckmaster Circle Community Centre
Assists in the development and delivery of programs and services at the community centre such as pre-school, homework program, computer room, delivering flyers, community outreach initiatives etc.
- Canadian Parents for French Newfoundland and Labrador
The CPF is an association of parents who are interested in providing programs that promote French as a second language. The CPF is also involved with information sharing on French education opportunities in Canada.
- Family Learning Association
This association is designed to set up reading circles across Canada to help children discover that reading is fun.
- Girl Guides of Canada
Works with girls (ages 6-18) to help them become more responsible, resourceful, and productive members of society.
- Junior Forest Wardens
This organization is involved in educating young people about nature and outdoor activities
- MacMorran Community Centre
A community centre with programs for recreation, socializing, parenting, childcare, and other community events.
- Rabbitown Community Centre
A non-profit organization that provides recreational, social and education programs for people of all ages in the central St. John’s.
