To visit St. John's is to have a love affair with the past, a happy marriage with the present, and a flirtation with the future.

How to get here?

By air: The St. John's International Airport's code is YYT.  The airport receives provincial, national, and international flights.  Several flights arrive from Toronto and Halifax daily.

By Land: In order to reach St. John's from out of province you must first cross the Cabot Strait.  Marine Atlantic operates a car ferry service.  However, the drive from Port aux Basque (ferry terminal) to St. John's is approx 12 hours.  During the summer months there is also a ferry service to Argentia, Newfoundland which is approximately 2 hours from St. John's.  Both ferries leave from North Sydney, Nova Scotia.
