Internal Medicine Clerkship Rotation
The Internal Medicine Clerkship rotation is a required core experience during Phase 4. This rotation contributes to a student’s development of knowledge, skills and attitudes appropriate to the management of the adult medical patients. This experience may occur in a variety of settings including the Emergency room, hospital and out-patient clinics.
Rotation Information Overview
The Internal Medicine Core Clerkship rotation is a total of nine (9) weeks. Clerks will complete a 6-week block of core Internal Medicine and a 3-week Internal Medicine subspeciality block.
Core Internal Medicine Rotation (Six weeks):
Two 3-week blocks of CTU (HSC) or one 6-week block of community Internal Medicine (Grand Falls-Windsor).
Internal Medicine Subspecialty Rotation (Three weeks):
Cardiology, Hematology, Medical Oncology, Neurology, or Rheumatology.
