DATE: May 2
On Wednesday, May 4, in recognition of the ninth annual North American Occupational Health and Safety Week, SafetyNet will host a public forum entitled Occupational Health and Safety in Newfoundland and Labrador: From Jobs or Health to Jobs and Health. The forum takes place at 7 p.m. in A-1046 in the Arts and Administration Building of Memorial University. Admission is free and free parking is available in Lot15.

Panelists include representatives from the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour, the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission, Memorial University, the Injured Workers Association and the provincial government.
SafetyNet is a program in occupational health and safety research based at Memorial University with links to partner organizations and researchers in Newfoundland and Labrador, the other Atlantic provinces and elsewhere in Canada.
