SUBJECT: Power outage in residences, Childcare Centre on Memorial’s St. John’s campus
DATE: March 2
A power outage at Memorial University’s St. John’s campus is affecting Paton College, Burton’s Pond apartments and the Childcare Centre today, Friday, March 2.
This is the same area that experienced a power outage on Wednesday, Feb. 29.
Student Housing has implemented a contingency plan to address the needs of the residents of Paton College and Burton’s Pond apartments. Food, beverages and warm study and lounge space has been provided for students affected by the outage in The Landing, third floor, University Centre. Student Housing staff are working to answer any and all questions students may have.
The problem is expected to be corrected before this evening.
