SUBJECT: Musical Saturday afternoon at Grenfell Campus Art Gallery
DATE: July 15
On Saturday, July 16, from 1-3 p.m., meet the artists behind Grenfell Campus Art Gallerys current exhibitions, Rare Reflections and Salmon Run, and view the exhibitions to the accompaniment of the music of Wesley Harris, Margaret Culliton and Hilary Rice.
Wesley Harris and Margaret Culliton are husband and wife. Mr. Harris plays violin and studied music at the University of Toronto prior to studying art. Ms. Culliton plays wooden flute. Her instrument is a reproduction of a Baroque flute from 1790.
Ms. Rice, an award-winning textile and mixed media artist, is also a trained musician with a bachelor of music degree from Queens University. She is a soprano soloist, an accomplished folk harpist and enjoys sharing her gift of music in small intimate settings.
Ms. Rices and Mr. Harris artworks from the two-person exhibition, Rare Reflections, are currently on display at Grenfell Campus Art Gallery. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
Gallery hours are: Tuesday-Friday, 11-5 p.m. and Saturday, 12-4 p.m.
