SUBJECT: Grenfell: Connected Collective, Sir Wilfred Grenfell College’s Annual Fourth Year Student Exhibition, to open on Saturday, April 17, 7 to 9 p.m.

          SWGC Art Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of the annual Fourth Year Student Exhibition, Connected Collective. The exhibition opens on Saturday, April 17, and continues to June 5. There will be a reception for the artists on Saturday, April 17 from 7 to 9. All are welcome and refreshments will be served.

          This year’s exhibition features the work of sixteen young artists: Mark Adams, Kyle Bennett, Marc Bernier, Jacinta Briand, Devan Burry, Martha George, Gabrielle Hughes, Jillian Murphy, Bailey Oake, Maria Penney, Amanda Power, Courteney Pritchett, Martine Robicheau, Krystal Stockley, Ellen Vickerson and Sarah Willett. The exhibition is a lively mix of two-dimensional and three-dimensional work realized in traditional media and non-traditional media including plantings, installation, sculpture, printmaking, and conceptual work. It is thought-provoking exhibition with many of the artworks centering on issues of identity and often challenging convention.
