The violin and piano will fuse together with the fiddle and guitar for two special concerts taking place next week on Memorial’s St. John’s campus.
Bowties, a group of four musicians – one pair classically trained, the other folk-oriented – will present a show spanning Bach to Benoit.
The group consists of Dr. Nancy Dahn and Professor Tim Steeves – both from Memorial’s School of Music – along with fiddler Gordon Stobbe and guitarist Greg Simm.
Their concert runs at the Petro Canada Hall on June 3 and 4. Tickets, available at the Arts and Culture Centre Box Office and at the door, are $15; $10 for students and seniors. Show time is at 8 p.m.
