SUBJECT: Venue change for Merchant Navy Day Commemoration on Sept. 12

Note to editors
The Canadian Merchant Navy Veterans Association and Company of Master Mariners-N.L. Division will commemorate Merchant Navy Day and honour the 22nd anniversary of the unveiling of the Merchant Navy Memorial on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 12 p.m.
Due to weather, the ceremony will be held in Hampton Hall located inside the main lobby of the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University at 155 Ridge Rd. The 2019 commemoration will consist of a civil and religious ceremony.
Relatives and families of veterans, the public and media are welcome to attend.
