Spectators are encouraged to wear Terry Fox T-shirts. Terry Fox Foundation merchandise will also be available for sale at the event.

Doors open at 6 p.m.; the game will start at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available for purchase in advance at That Pro Look in the Avalon Mall or by emailing Dawn Corbett at dawnc@mun.ca. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door. Admission is free for children 12 years of age and under.

Kirk Leach, provincial manager of the Terry Fox Foundation, says events like these make a big difference.

“Terry’s wish was that we all come together to help keep his dream of finding a cure for cancer alive,” he said. “Your support of this event will do just that.”

Dawn Corbett, chair of Memorial’s Terry Fox committee, says she is looking forward to hosting the event for the second time.

“The event last year was successful in raising money for the Newfoundland and Labrador chapter of the Terry Fox Foundation and a wonderful time was had by participants and spectators alike,” she said. “As a committee, we are looking forward to seeing it grow.”
