SUBJECT: PSA: Fall apply to graduate deadline looming for Memorial students
DATE: July 12, 2019
Memorial University is alerting its students who are, or will be, eligible to graduate this fall to the July 15, 2019, graduation application deadline.
Students are eligible to graduate at fall convocation ceremonies if they have completed or will complete their program requirements by the end of August 2019. To apply to graduate, they should log on to Memorial’s Self Service to fill out the required application.
The schedule of ceremonies and degrees for Memorial’s fall convocation in St. John’s on Oct. 17, 2019, will be posted online by mid-August.
Students must then indicate if they will be attending their ceremony by returning to Memorial’s Self Service once the convocation registration option is active on Friday, Aug. 23.
Students at Grenfell Campus who apply to graduate this fall will automatically be assigned to graduate at fall convocation in St. John’s, as there is no longer a fall convocation ceremony held in Corner Brook. Their degrees will be conferred on Oct. 17, 2019, or mailed out after that date if they do not attend the St. John’s ceremony.
Grenfell Campus graduates can choose to participate in Memorial’s spring convocation ceremony in Corner Brook on May 14, 2020; those who wish to do so should email their request to convocation@mun.ca by Sept. 30, 2019.
