SUBJECT: PSA: Get outside this month at Memorial University's Botanical Garden

June 21-24: Rhody Fest | Regular summer hours
This annual event is not to be missed! With more than 200 varieties of rhododendrons, the garden will be a riot of colourful blooms. Rhody Fest coincides with Canada’s national Garden Days, a country-wide celebration of gardens.

Thursday, June 21: Botanical Cocktails on the Summer Solstice | 6:30-8 p.m.
Join research horticulturalist Todd Boland as you sip botanical cocktails on the summer solstice and stroll around the garden, taking in the sights and smells of the start of summer. Register online on the garden’s website for this special ticketed event

Friday, June 22: Busking in the Blooms | 6-8 p.m.
Come hear Memorial’s student musicians at their best. You’ll be delighted by the flowers and the musicians as they busk around the garden. Entry by donation.

June 23-24: Family Bloom Days | 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Calling all flower lovers! Spend a family day in the garden with flower crafts, activities and a petal parade. On Saturday, June 23, we’ll be joined by some fairies and woodland creatures from Sci-Fi on the Rock. To top it all off, the Newfoundland Horticultural Society will have floral bonnets on display – vote for your favourite. Also on Saturday, there will be free admission to celebrate Canada’s Garden Days.
