SUBJECT: Memorial University is havin’ a time once more: Countdown to Reunion 2013

Memorial alumni had so much fun at the university’s all-year, all-campus reunion last year that we want to do it again. From Oct. 17-21, Memorial alumni and friends, as well as current and retired faculty and staff, are invited back to campus to experience five days of catching up with former classmates and colleagues.
“Last year’s reunion was an outstanding success and we’re looking forward to welcoming back Memorial graduates from key milestone years and decades,” said Lynn Cadigan, assistant director, alumni affairs, Office of Alumni Affairs and Development. “Reunions are special times for graduates and reunions are fun. We will have events for everybody and this year Reunion 2013 is happening in conjunction with I Love MUNdays.”
There are more than 20 events planned. All events will be held at Memorial’s St. John’s campus, including the Alumni Tribute Awards, Sea-Hawks games and tailgate party, plus a special ceremony for those celebrating 50+ years as Memorial alumni. Remember the good times during Super TSC Night at Club One featuring live bands, guest hosts and alumni Mark O’Brien and Phil Churchill and much more!
Volunteer committees of more than 50 Memorial alumni, faculty, staff and students have worked behind the scenes overseeing and managing this major event.
“We started the planning process months ago to ensure that we have fun celebrating all things Memorial,” noted Ms. Cadigan. “We want to create a culture at Memorial where graduates can look forward to coming back and reconnecting with their university year after year. Reunions will be a tradition at Memorial that we want to carry into the future.”
