Dr. Tiffany Keenan, a Canadian emergency physician and Memorial University medical graduate will present a talk titled Grassroots Up: Building a Health Program in Rural Haiti. The talk will take place Thursday, Dec. 5, from 1-2 p.m. in Lecture Theatre A, Health Sciences Centre. Everyone is welcome.
Dr. Keenan is the founder and executive director of Haiti Village Health, a project dedicated to providing front line medical care, health education and nutritional support in a region where these services have never existed. In particular, the project is working to ensure access to clean water and sanitation, essential to maintaining a minimum standard of health.
