SUBJECT: PSA: Memorial’s School of Pharmacy to host Public Pill Drop and Fall Fun Day

DATE: October 19, 2011

            Members of the public are invited to drive in and drop off their expired or unused medications for safe confidential disposal at the Public Pill Drop and Fall Fun Day.
            This event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 12-4 p.m. at the Health Sciences Centre in parking lot 9, located on Clinch Crescent, just off Prince Philip Drive on Memorial University’s St. John’s campus.            
            Prescription or over-the-counter medications in tablet or capsule form can be collected. Unfortunately, no liquids or creams can be accepted.
            In support of the school’s aim to build public awareness regarding the safe disposal of expired or unused medications, a bouncy castle, face painting and other family activities will also be available onsite as part of a Fall Fun Day.
            This is a free public service sponsored by Memorial University’s School of Pharmacy in celebration of their 25th anniversary.
