DATE: November 8, 2010

The 34th Annual MUN Monte Carlo Charity Gala takes place Nov. 13, starting at 7 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel, St. John's. Monte Carlo is a black tie charity gala put on by medical students at Memorial University. Last year’s Monte Carlo Charity Gala, organized by first and second-year medical students, raised a record $57,000, bringing the total amount raised since the charity ball was started in 1977 to over $1 million.
The price of admission is one non-perishable food item. For more information, please visit www.munmontecarlo.ca
The charities selected to benefit from this year’s Monte Carlo Gala are the ALS Society of Canada; the Hub; the Newfoundland and Labrador Foster Families Association; the Newfoundland and Labrador Sexual Assault Crisis & Prevention Centre; Bridges to Hope, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the impact of poverty on families living in the community; and the Corner Brook Shrine Club, a division of the provincial Mazol Shriners.
