2009-2010

News Release

REF NO.: 358

SUBJECT: PSA: Words in Edgewise

DATE: July 6, 2010

About once a month the Graduate Program in Humanities, the Eastern Edge Gallery and Magpie Magazine team up to present some of St. John’s most exciting and intriguing artists and academics performing, presenting and sharing their work in a variety of disciplines and media. It’s like a good old-fashioned variety show with equal parts sequins and tweed!
The sixth Words in Edgewise on July 14, 2010, promises to be the most exciting one yet. It will feature a performance by the St. John's Ukulele Club (which includes current and former MUN students and faculty), and presentations by geography graduate student and photographer Bojan Fürst (Street Photography in the Age of Paranoia), and ethnomusicology graduate student Rachel Landy (Dancing Condoms and HIV Education in Africa)
Please see our event website for more details: http://wordsinedgewisestjohns.wordpress.com/
Words in Edgewise will take place Wednesday July 14, 2010, at 8 p.m. at the Eastern Edge Gallery.
