SUBJECT: Memorial and Mount Pearl Senior High forge IT partnership

Officials from Memorial University and Mount Pearl Senior High will sign an agreement Oct. 13 to mark a learning partnership in the field of information technology.
The signing ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, in room FM-1008, an IT classroom in the Facilities Management building, located on Phelan Road, St. John’s campus.
Students from Mount Pearl Senior High, together with their principal Sheldon Barry, and Karen Kennedy, director of the Division of Lifelong Learning, will gather for the signing ceremony documenting the partnership. The event marks the inception of a “Local Academy” at Mount Pearl Senior High based on outreach IT coursework between the two centres of learning.
Media representatives are invited to attend. Parking is available in Lot 15.
