Students in search of career advice will have plenty of information to absorb next week thanks to a free event at Memorial.
More than 130 exhibitors representing employers, organizations, government agencies and post-secondary institutions from across the country will be on the St. John’s campus on Wednesday, Oct. 1, for the ninth annual Career and Graduate School Fair.
The event runs from 10 a.m., to 4 p.m., in the Field House.
The fair is open to current Memorial students and alumni looking to network with potential employers, searching for career direction, or thinking about furthering their education.
The event is co-ordinated by Memorial’s Career Development and Experiential Learning (CDEL) office.
“The annual career fair is a wonderful opportunity for our students and alumni to connect with top employers and educational institutions from our province and beyond,” said Jennifer Browne, director of CDEL at Memorial.
“Whether looking for future employment openings or current positions the
career fair offers opportunities for alumni on the job hunt, senior students preparing to graduate and students exploring various career options or summer and part-time employment.”
Admission to the Career and Graduate School Fair is free. Students and alumni will be required to show their student ID card at the door.
Members of the media are welcome to attend the fair.
