REF NO.: 0

SUBJECT:

DATE: April 14, 2008

Another rascally rabbit will appear at King Henry’s Pub, April 19 at 8 p.m.
The April Rabbit follows in the footsteps of the annual March Hare event, which showcases the talents of local, national and international poets, writers and musicians. The April Rabbit consists of up-and-coming performers, the majority of whom are connected to Sir Wilfred Grenfell College.
The show will run about one hour and 15 minutes. Performers include Benny Hynes, Kristy Lee, Courtney Steeves, Ashley Neary, Afolabi Opanubi, Stephanie Coombes, Natalie Tella, Pamela Gill, Laura Helen Penney, Andy Woolridge, Jon Janes, Owen Van Houten, Rachel Bishop, Doug Gough and Sandi McKinnon.
“This is an excellent opportunity for people to meet some of the talented writers and musicians who live in this area,” says Grenfell student Rebekah Robbins, event co-ordinator. “We expect a good turnout. This event has been going on annually for the past nine years and the community has always been extraordinarily supportive.”
All are welcome. Admission is free.
