On April 3, the Faculty of Business Administration will mark the 50th anniversary of the first graduates from the bachelor of commerce undergraduate degree at the annual Partners Dinner. In addition to the anniversary celebrations, two members of the local business community will be honoured.
Ken Marshall will receive the 2006 Alumni Honour Award. Mr. Marshall, B.Comm. (co-op) (hons.) ’84, is president of the Atlantic region for Rogers Cable. Mr. Marshall is a former lecturer in the Faculty of Business, member of its advisory board, and frequent guest judge for students preparing for case competitions.
Leonard Pecore will receive the P.J. Gardiner Institute’s 2007 Newfoundland and Labrador Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Mr. Pecore’s Genoa Design International Limited provides detail production design and drafting, 3-D modeling, lofting and nesting to the shipbuilding and offshore industries across the United States and Canada.
The dinner will be held on Tuesday, April 3, at 6:45 p.m. at the Fairmont Newfoundland; dinner will start at 7:30 p.m. The awards will be presented after the dinner portion of the event and recipients will be available for interviews and photos.
