SUBJECT: A Toast to Hire Learning: co-op students and employers to be honoured

Note to editors:
In celebration of National Co-operative Education week, Toast to Hire Learning, an event to celebrate the support of employers and the success of students and graduates, will be held on Thursday March 22, 2007. The Division of Co-operative Education and the Department of Career Development and Experiential Learning will be presenting awards to students and employers. The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador will be recognized for their continued support of co-operative education at Memorial, and Consilient will be recognized with the Employer Initiative Award.
A wine and cheese reception will be held from 5 – 5:45 p.m., followed by a presentation and awards ceremony from 5:45 – 7 p.m. Media are invited to attend all or part of the event. If you are planning to attend the wine and cheese, please RSVP by calling (709) 737-8815 or e-mailing coopdir@mun.ca.
