Come to Memorial’s Botanical Garden, located at 306 Mt. Scio Road in St. John’s, and celebrate composting from May 1-7. There will be free admission all week. Visitors can view exhibits, compost displays and collect lots of free composting information in the field centre. Ever Green Recycling and the Multi-Materials Stewardship Board (MMSB) will have exhibits and information in the display room. There will also be a compost demonstration garden, located between the Agnes Ayre gazebo and the Friends wildlife garden, and an indoor worm bin (vermicomposter).

Bring the family along to a special Sunday Family Day on May 1. There will be children’s compost crafts, stories and activities. Or drop by the garden between 12 noonand 1:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, to attend one of the following free lunch time compost information demonstrations. Registration is not required for the following demonstrations:
