SUBJECT: PSA: Public forum on antibiotics use
DATE: November 24, 2004
There will be a public forum titled Antibiotics – Handle with Care, on Thursday Nov. 25, from 5-6 p.m. in the main auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine, Health Sciences Centre. Refreshments will be served at 5 p.m., followed by a keynote talk at 5:30 p.m.The purpose of this forum is to educate the public on how to use antibiotics appropriately, to manage viral respiratory illnesses and identify the problems caused by inappropriate use of antibiotics. The keynote speaker is Kathryn Slayter, Division of Infectious Disease, Dalhousie University. Free parking available in Lot 9, medical school parking lot off Clinch Ave.
