The Entrepreneurship Training Program is presented by Memorial University’s School of Graduate Studies, and Internationalization Office in partnership with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Association (ACOA).
"The School of Graduate Studies is dedicated to providing our students with pathways for innovation and success. The ETP initiative is a shining example of our efforts toward meeting that goal." - Dr. Amy Warren, Dean, School of Graduate Studies
The ETP’s goals are supported by Memorial’s Strategic Internationalization Plan (SIP) 2020, which gives the mandate “to urgently increase the scope and participation of the ETP, as well as contribute to overall population growth through strong post-graduation transition programming”. The ETP also aligns with and supports Canada’s Atlantic Growth Strategy to drive economic growth through key initiatives built around skilled workforce/immigration, innovation, clean growth and climate change, trade and investment (with a focus on international connections), and infrastructure.
The ETP is also a funnel partner for the Genesis Centre’s Startup Visa Program. This program offers accelerated permanent residency to entrepreneurial immigrants that are accepted in to Enterprise incubation program at the Centre.
