When an emergency happens people often have to evacuate their homes or they may find themselves with no power for extended periods of time.

Emergency Management is challenging all faculty, staff and students of Memorial University to create an original recipe for a main course dish with these non-perishable foods, basic cooking supplies and a camp stove. Recipes must be built using a set list of ingredients and cover all of the Canada Food Guide groups and can be prepared with only the supplies listed.

Three finalists will be selected from all recipes submitted and given the opportunity to prepare their recipe for a panel of judges at our Emergency Preparedness Fair on Oct. 15.The winner will receive a 16GB iPad with retina display and an emergency preparedness kit.
