Dr. Weiyun Lin

Dr. Weiyun Lin graduated with her Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Science from Memorial University in 2020. Her doctoral degree specialized on membrane treatment of heavy metal and sulfate from wastewater. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Memorial University as well as the Program Coordinator of the PEOPLE Network, a Pan-Canadian research and training network on Persistent, Emerging, and Organic Pollution in the Environment.

During her time at Memorial, Dr. Lin has published 14 journal and conference papers and serviced as a reviewer for four academic journals. She was the recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Assistant (TA) award in 2019 and Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies in 2020. She has a keen interest in student service work. She become a TA trainer/facilitator for the Faculty of Engineering as well as Memorial University since 2018. She was also the founder and president of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) Memorial Student Chapter, the student representative of Memorial/NL region in the CSCE Atlantic section, and the student representative in the Committee of Diversity and Women in Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering.
