Dr. Liam Swiss joined Memorial University in 2010 after completing his PhD at McGill University. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology where he also serves as Graduate Coordinator. His research and teaching focuses on the global politics of development and foreign aid and quantitative research methods. He is currently Vice-President of the Canadian Association for the Study of International Development. Before his academic career he worked for the Canadian International Development Agency on Canada’s foreign aid to Pakistan.
