Get Involved and Volunteer Fair
The Get Involved and Volunteer Fair...
The Volunteer Fair is one of the Student Volunteer Bureau's main events held annually during the fall semester. The Volunteer Fair strives to increase campus awareness of volunteer opportunities available in our community and to provide information about exciting career possibilities in the not-for-profit sector. This Fair will provide agencies with the chance to display information about the volunteer placements offered within their organization. Agencies in the past have found that participating in this fair have generated interest in their agencies, raised their profile as a volunteer organization, and provided them with an opportunity to network with other volunteer agencies.
Since 2008, the fair has taken place in the form of the "Get Involved and Volunteer Fair," a partnership between the Student Volunteer Bureau and one of its supporting organizations, the MUN Students' Union. This premier event which took place on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 exhibited both community organizations (through the SVB) and on-campus clubs and societies.
The fourth annual "Get Involved and Volunteer Fair" will take place on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on the third floor of the University Centre. Registration is now open for community organizations, clubs, and societies.
