Volunteer Assistants

Part of the SVB Team, Fall semester 2011

Volunteer Assistants are the life-blood of the Student Volunteer Bureau (SVB). They ensure that students who visit the SVB are given a smiling face and a helping hand to refer them to the best volunteer opportunities available for them.

Volunteer Assistants (VAs) answer students' inquiries, dispense information, consult with visitors about possible volunteer placements, and assist with all SVB projects and programs.

A two hour per week commitment for one semester is required by all VAs. Training will be provided. In return volunteers can develop many skills which can be added to your resumé.

If you would like to learn more about becoming a Volunteer Assistant contact us at svb@mun.ca or drop in UC4001!

E-mail svb@mun.ca if you are interested in joining the SVB team!
