Volunteer Assistants

Volunteer Assistants are the life-blood of the Student Volunteer Bureau (SVB). They ensure that students who visit the SVB are given a smiling face and a helping hand to refer them to the best volunteer opportunities available.

Volunteer Assistants (VAs) answer students' inquiries, dispense information, consult with visitors about possible volunteer placements, and assist with all SVB projects and programs.

A three-five hour per week commitment for one semester is required by all VAs. Training will be provided. In return volunteers can develop many skills which can be added to your resume.

If you would like to learn more about becoming a Volunteer Assistant contact us at svb@mun.ca or drop in UC-3011!

We will be recruiting Volunteer Assistants for the Winter semester in early December. To make sure that you are notified once recruitment begins, sign up for the SVB listserv
