New policies enter consultatation; approval of incidental amendments; proposal for new or revised policy

Memorial University is introducing two new university-wide policies for Travel Outside of Canada and Gift Acceptance. In accordance with the University’s policy framework processes, the proposed policy and related procedures are available for consultation. Members of the University community are invited to review the relevant documents by clicking on Policy Status on the left menu. Feedback may be directed to the Policy Office, policyoffice@mun.ca by their respective deadlines. The new Gift Acceptance policy is intended to replace the Solicitation of Gifts - Requests policy which will be deleted.

At its meeting on November 12, 2014, Vice-Presidents Council approved incidental amendments to the Controlled Goods policy to reflect organizational changes within the portfolio of the Vice-President (Research). As part of these changes, the Policy Authority and the Policy Sponsor have changed from Vice-President (Research) to Vice-President, Administration and Finance.

As well at that same meeting, Vice-Presidents Council approved a Proposal for a NewEnterprise Risk Management policy.
