A COVID-19 message to the Memorial University alumni family
The rapidly evolving COVID-19 crisis has had effects on our collective lives, here in Newfoundland and Labrador and across the globe.
At Memorial, the safety of our students, faculty and staff are of utmost importance. As such, we are fully committed to doing our part to flatten the curve, and following the advice of the provincial and federal government and health experts.
We have a dedicated COVID-19 website, which is the Memorial University hub for the most up-to-date information. We have created a remote teaching plan through our Centre for Innovation in Teaching and Learning, in order to keep our students’ and instructors’ safety as our top priority. This situation is progressing quickly, so please refer to this resource for the most up-to-date information.
Our thoughts are also with our family of alumni, donors and friends. As such, we have cancelled all upcoming events until the end of June, and will reassess at that time. We continue to work remotely at home, and plan to remain connected throughout this unprecedented global pandemic situation.
Memorial employees are working on our Emergency Operations Centre, dedicated to concluding the semester in a productive, but most importantly, safe and responsible, manner.
Please be safe during this trying and historic time.
