Celebrate Memorial University’s 100th anniversary with Body Works – A Public Exhibition on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Faculty of Medicine, St. John’s campus. This unique event revives the powerful anatomical exhibit created by Dr. Shakti Chandra, Professor Emerita and renowned anatomy educator, featuring real plastinated human specimens.

Open to alumni, students, educators, families, and the general public.

 Come join us and unlock the treasures of the deep at an open house taking place under and around Altum, the blue whale whose skeleton hangs in Memorial University’s Core Science Facility (CSF). Altum (pronounced al-tum) is Latin for “deep,” and comes from Memorial’s motto: provehito in altum, which means “launch forth into the deep.” The whale represents the diverse ocean-related expertise that swims across our campuses.

On Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9:30 am – 4 pm, visitors are invited to drop by to enjoy a series of interactive learning exhibitions and displays from Memorial University’s campuses.

To ensure participants’ comfort, entrance to the event will be offered in staggered blocks.

2–4 p.m.

The awards ceremony takes place on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Emera Innovation Exchange on Signal Hill Campus. A standing reception will follow.

Hosted by Memorial's president, this annual event recognizing all those celebrating their 50th or more years as alumni of Memorial University, with the newest class/first-timers receiving their commemorative pin. This year's event targets the classes of 1925 to 1975, with the newest graduates being the class of 1975.
