Healthy Campus

As one of six universities in the world to first adopt The Okanagan Charter: An International Charter for Health Promoting Universities and Colleges, Memorial University has made a commitment to finding innovative ways to embed health and wellness into all aspects of our campus community. The charter defines health as going beyond the absence of illness to encapsulate wellbeing of body, mind, and relationships.

The SWCC aims to foster progress toward a Healthy Campus Community at MUN through programs and initiatives informed by a holistic approach to health and wellness. Our goal is to help MUN students do more than “survive” their university education, but learn to “thrive” both at MUN and beyond. A Healthy Campus facilitates positive action toward health and wellbeing for all its members.
